GAME DAY!!!

Happy Monday!

Today is the day for Oregon to beat Ohio State! I am beyond excited!
Oregon Jersey ON!

So excited in fact that I ran 2 miles in my best time since having my little person, 18:40! However, yesterday I took my husband with me on my long run, but we only ran about 3 miles of it, and stopped for pictures and some alone time to talk. It was much needed after a hectic week. Although we didn't run the whole time, it felt much better this time around than last weekend. I think this Sunday I will be able to run the whole time, maybe even longer.
The view from the bike path is just too perfect to pass up on the photo ops. On Saturday I was a little naughty though. We didn't have the babies so we ended up going to dinner and a movie and I may or may not have had a few drinks. Totally wasn't worth it, and I don't plan on doing that again for a while. Well, I don't have much to say today. Tonight we are going to hit the gym again for another couple miles, and then strait home to watch Oregon kick some ass! I'll just leave this here....
See you next post! :)

Welcome to nursing school....

Yesterday I was so very excited to get the ball rolling on my nursing school education, as you can see below.
So anyways, super excited and could not wait to go to school and be motivated, and while I was, about 6 hours later of lectures talking about how stressful the next year and 3 months my life was going to be, KA PLUNK! A good 75 pounds of books were dumped on me, don't worry though! The rest of them are online!
THEN! Some newly graduated nurses came in and spoke about how school pretty much consumed their life, they had to put their family second blah blah blah. By then I was pretty much convinced I was doomed. I text my mother and she reminded me that none of them had been in the Marine Corps though. I totally forgot about that and remembered how stressful life had been back then between kids, school and Marine Corps. So I am convinced I can do it and still have a normal life. HOPEFULLY! After orientation, I rushed over to the day care and picked up my 2 little ones. They weren't in the clothes I left them there in.... My son completely through potty training out the window and the baby blew out her diaper. GREAT! Upon arrival to the house, my son wanted me to carry the baby, diaper bag, my books, and him upstairs and would throw himself on the ground until that happened. Perfect! So thank God for grandma and grandpa, they swooped in and saved the day!
Those 2 were off to their grandparents for the weekend! Enough of my bitching! I decided to take  the evening off running, though I did put in a mile that morning for time. I did a mile in 8:49. Not too good, but its a start. Today's agenda is going to be an easy 2 miles and an easy cycling workout just to prepare for my long run tomorrow. I am scared that in the next year I won't be able to keep up with my running regimen and I will fall behind with everything. Any advice?

How was nursing school and juggling everything else?
More potty training tips?
Is it all worth the daily struggle?

Feeling overwhelmed, but committed.

Here it goes!

Hey everyone, well no one just yet!

This is my first post to the blog and I don't really know the formalities of the first post, so I am just going to dive right in! Whelp after months of on again off again training, the Potty Training God are answering my prayer! This little person is FINALLY starting to go to the bathroom by himself!
I never thought this day would come! #itsthelittlethings. That is also the first time I have ever used a hash tag, is that how its done? So today is my semi rest day. I have been running 4 miles everyday and tonight I am only going to do 2. This month since I just started getting back into it, I am going to focus on master 5 miles, which I already did 6 on Sunday but I am trying to avoid injury so I thought starting small would be the best way to so that.

This month is going to be about 5 miles and then adding 5 miles a month. So far I haven't incorporated hills or speed yet, but I probably will next month. My diet has included lots of salads and some carbs, I am 35 pounds down! yay me!
Hopefully my long run this weekend won't be so cold, and maybe my time will be better if I don't stop for so many Kodak moments. Tomorrow I begin nursing school! AHHH I'm so nervous! I hope you all have a great day and I'll just set this right inspo right here!

When do you guys like to go for your long runs?
Any tips on how to get your little people to go number 2 in the potty?
